Our Story
A family-owned diner serving North Central Florida since 2009
Meet Fritz
Every Darrell's Diner carries the spirit of Fritz, Darrell Warden's beloved golden retriever. When Darrell opened the first location in October 2009, he knew the logo had to honor his loyal companion.
Fritz may no longer be with us, but his friendly, welcoming nature lives on in every one of our restaurants. That's why we're proudly dog-friendly — because Fritz would have wanted it that way.
"Dog Gone Good" isn't just our name — it's our promise.

From One Diner to Many
The Beginning
Darrell Warden opens the first Darrell's Dog Gone Good Diner on Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala. The community falls in love with the homemade gravy.
Growing the Family
Word spreads across Marion and Sumter counties. New locations open in Ocala, The Villages, Wildwood, and beyond. Each one keeps the same homemade recipes.
Still Cooking
With locations across North Central Florida — from Ocala to Crystal River — Darrell's continues serving breakfast all day, every day. Owner-operated, community-focused, and still dog-friendly.
